Cornerbrook is a cute little hilly town that serves as the gate way to Gros Morne National Park in Canada. We wanted to visit the National Park but by the time we got around to reserving our tours, the two tours that went to Gros Morne were fully booked, so we waitlisted for both of them. We ended on the one that took to several scenic sights which we loved, but if I ever return to the area I would want to book a tour that includes a cruise on the fjord lake. We got to the fjord area for a scenic photo stop, but did not have time to hike the 2 mile trail to the edge of the lake to have a better look at the fjord.
We enjoyed our scenic drive along the Huber River to access the park where we passed by Deer Lake.
Then we turned on what is known as 430 Viking Trail to head northwest towards the park. We entered near the East Arm inlet and hadeed along the coast and over a couple of passes, stopped at a scenic looks our and then arrived at to Rocky Harbor. We were fed a quick lunch at a local cafe and then headed off to explore Lobster Cove
We had such good weather this day that we were able to sit outside and enjoy a scenic sail away from the port.
