2022 Canada, Greenland and Iceland: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

The people of Nova Scotia which means New Scotland, embrace their Scottish heritage. This was evidenced in the kilts worn by our tour guides and several bagpipers we saw through out out day.

Our tour was to Peggy’s Cove lighthouse, about an hour from town. We had a lobster demonstrations, lobster rolls and enjoyed the scenic light house area.

We also visited the Titanic section of the local cemetery where we learned stories to the souls lost on the tragedy and some of the survivors.

The town even sent a bagpiper to play for us as we were sailing away.
