Light filled spaces and interior design themed on the destination are the first two aspects of the Celebrity Flora ship that come to mind when describing the beautiful ship. The calm color palette, the thoughtful details all create a true luxury experience in the Galapagos. Because this ship was purpose built for sailing these islands, it is just the right size vessel to explore the islands. With only 100 fellow passengers the ship feels intimate and cozy, yet it is big enough that it never feels crowded. Our room was one of the Infinite Veranda Sky Suites with wall to wall floor to ceiling windows which can be lowered down to create an open air balcony. We loved the large shower and the generous space of the sky suite. The ship does have larger suites, some over 1200 square feet with aft facing balconies.
Because the ship was purpose built, it has an aft marina platform that lowers down for the Novurania Yacht Tenders to load and unload guests for the landings ashore. The Discovery Lounge served as a multi-purpose venue where guest attended lectures, watch films, waited for their yacht tenders to be called, and gathered for happy hour and live piano music after returning to the ship. The ship even hosted Silent Disco in this venue. The open decks also provides scenic viewing areas during our day time cruising between landing sites.
The ship has two dining venues which include the Seaside Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the outdoor Ocean Grill for dining with 360 degree views of the islands. The Celebrity Flora is certainly the crow jewel of ships serving the Galapagos.
