2023 Svalbard in Depth Cruise – Pre-Cruise Oslo, Norway

In order to make the logistics work for this cruise, we planned our flights with a two night layover in Oslo. That worked out really well and we loved the city. We were blessed with two beautiful sunny days and we even asked a local “how long does the summer last?” to which he replied “Oh yesterday and today!”. Regardless, this is a beautiful city with amazing architecture and a lovely waterfront.

We did eat a local Norwegian place near the Radison Blue hotel, our favorite spot was the Spanish Tapas restaurant across from the entrance to the hotel.

We don’t know if these group of young people singing were rehearsing or just giving an impromptu concert, but we enjoyed their singing very much on top of the Oslo Opera House.
