2023 Svalbard in Depth Cruise – Day 8 Storoya

This was one of our best polar bears on the ice days. We spotted a Mom and Two Cubs on the ice and everyone huddled on the front of the ship to catch pictures and videos of these amazing animals. We could see that she was looking in the water for a seal or a walrus to feast on. The babies styayed pretty close by, and follwed Mom as she moved around. My pictures below:

Later that day we sailed upon another bear feeding on the ice. I nick named him “Moonie” because the first set of pictures I got of him as he was feeding were of his back side. As the ice shifted around a bit I got some better angles of him.
