- 2023 Greenland and Canadian Arctic Expedition Cruise – Cruise Summary
This was another exciting day for us. We woke up to a polar bear on the ice. The plan was for us to do a zodiac cruise in the area, but the weather did not cooperate and by the time the ship was ready to put the zodiacs in the water the winds and seas had picked up. That plan was called off, but quickly replaced by plan B, which was to circumnavigate the large tabular iceberg. I am not sure if you can get the perspective as to how bit that iceberg is, but it would be about the size, above water, of a professional football stadium. It was enormous, and that was just the 10% or so that is above the water. Simply an amazing sight to see.
