This was my 5th time to visit Juneau, so once again we didn’t take any real excursions. This whole cruise was about the Silversea experience, so excursions weren’t too important to us. However, I would highly recommend that guests visiting Juneau do a helicopter tour to a glacier with or without do sledding, enjoy a whale watching tour where my guests have actually taken some amazing pictures of humpback whales bubble feeding, take an excursion out to the Taku Glacier, or even take the tramway to Mt. Roberts to see the incredible vistas from the view point. I also recommend a visit to the Alaska State Museum for those folks who are museum people. For this trip, we enjoyed the walk around town, watching the big Royal Caribbean ship, Ovation of the Seas, come in, and then watching it depart while our ship overnighted in port.
