I am happy to share with you a few of the great entertainment moments from our cruise. A few of the videos are from the World Stage, but for this cruise we mostly enjoyed the music walk entertainers. We loved the BB King Blues band, great vocalists and musicians. We also very much enjoyed the piano duo who did lots of fun and interactive sets in Billboard on Board. One of the things we liked the most was that we could find a seat in the Billboard On Board and then still enjoy the set from the Rolling Stone Rock band when they played across the room on their stage.

The piano duo in the Billboard On Board was amazing. For the 10:15 show, it was always all request. Since we were going to Iceland, I asked her if she knew the song “Husavik” from the silly Will Ferrell movie “Euorvision: The Story of Fire Saga.” If you haven’t seen the movie it is about this man who is obsessed with competing in the Euro Vision Song contest since he saw Abba on TV in the 70’s with Waterloo. He is so obsessed with winning that he is in danger of missing out on the love of his life, his music partner. She writes the song Husavik about how she just to wants to be with him in her home town of Husavik, rather than compete for all the glory. It is performed at the climactic moment of the movie. It was even nominated for an Academy Award and went pretty high on the Icelandic pop charts. The song is sung mostly in English, our singer even learned the Icelandic part of the song. Enjoy!
