- 2023 Greenland and Canadian Arctic Expedition Cruise – Cruise Summary
Had the weather cooperated a little better, this would have been one of the most scenic days of the cruise, but unfortunately we had mist and light rain through-out our zodiac cruise. However it was still quite enjoyable as we were dressed for the weather.
During our Zodiac cruise we experienced waterfalls and the famous arctic bird the Kittiwake arctic seabirds, which are related to the gull family.
At the landing site we made a short hike closer to the glacier where we could really appreciate the sheer enormity of the the ice. We even got a picture of an arctic fox foot print on the fine sand.
