There is a reason that so many songs are written about San Francisco! Quite simply, it is a stunning city with world famous architecture and possibly the most beautiful bay in the world. We arrived just in time to see the sunrise over the Bay Bridge

This was my 5th visit to the “City By the Bay” and this time I decided that it was time to actually see a bit more of that famous bay.

We enjoyed the waterfront, checked out the urban sealion colony and then took a ferry across the Bay to Sausalito. There we enjoyed some of the Bay Area’s famous seafood and California wine. From the ferry, we got a great view of both the famous island prison of Alcatraz and the city’s most famous landmark, the Golden Gate Bridge.
