Just like when a ship goes into dry dock for a makeover or the Property Brothers start taking down walls and replacing uneven flooring, I have given my Cruise Talk blog a complete make-over.
I first started this blog when I was a full time Mom. It kept my writing and business skills sharp and vastly improved my knowledge of the cruise industry. 9 years ago, I turned that passion for cruising into a full-time career by starting my CruiseOne travel agency. With most of my time spent growing my business and serving my clients, that left little time for the Cruise Talk blog.
I choose to make 2020 and 2021 a positive time of renewal and professional development. While I was still busy with my business, managing cancellations, rebooking those same clients and helping them manage disappointments, I focused my free time on the goal of not only improving my product knowledge, but also assessing daily processes for improvement. With those goals in mind, I completed my CLIA Certified Cruise Counselor certification and will complete my Master Cruise Counselor by the end of 2021.
This was also a great time to revitalize my Cruise Talk blog. I have completely refreshed the look of the page and the focus of the content. As an experienced traveler, I use that real world experience to advise and guide my clients in planning their dream vacations. I have restructured the site to focus mostly on my own travel experiences and to share highlights of ships and destinations. This site is designed to inspire travel for both existing and current clients. We hope you enjoy our new look and that it inspires you to take that dream vacation to some place in the world with beautiful scenery, rich culture, and amazing people.
At re-launch, the site is not complete. I have only completed a handful of my past cruises. I will be working to write and upload the remainder plus potentially some ship reviews and non-cruise travel destinations over the coming months, but I was anxious to get the new look and feel out there!
