The food on the Celebrity Beyond is some of the best food we have had at sea. We choose to dine in the Greek themed Cyprus venue each night. I had to do a little sorting out of the dining arrangements when we first got onboard as they did not have our group seated together or even all in the same venue. The error was likely made somewhere is communicating between the land based groups department and the onboard dining department. However, the Maître’ de worked with me on embarkation day and got everything straightened out. We loved having the wait staff and assigned table every night. The food both in variety and quality was some of the best we have ever had on Celebrity.
Celebrity takes their wine appreciation program very seriously. As part of my customer appreciation program, Celebrity and I treated our guests to the Riedel comparative wine glass seminar. During this seminar we learned how the shape of the glass affects how the wine lands on the palate and thus changes the taste of the wine.
Another great activity hosted by our agency and the food and beverage department was the Martini Tasting. We all had vouchers, so we headed down to the Martini bar at a prescheduled time and got to watch the flair bartenders set up and pour the “Big Pour” martini’s in about a dozen different flavors for our group to try.
We were also excited to get a reservation at the Daniel Boulud Le Voyage restaurant. This is the chef’s first signature restaurant at sea. Needless to say everything was delicious.
Our final event co-hosted by our agency and the food and beverage department was a craft beer tasting. They were able to set up table in front of the French bistro overlooking the martini bar and poured several different styles of beer for us to enjoy. Captain Kate even stopped by for visit.
