Stavanger ended up being a catch up on email and workday for me, so I did not go ashore. I did go ashore 5 years ago when we were in the same town and visited the Petroleum Museum. However, we took several pictures from the ship and some of the members of my husband and kids went ashore and did a mini pub crawl and lunch trying out some local food and beer. Two adventurers in our group even went all the way to the Pulpit Rock, which makes me nervous just looking at pictures of the area with the huge drop off and no railing.
