- 2021 Ultimate Southern Caribbean Cruise: Celebrity Equinox Ship Review
I am probably going to sound like a broken record, but this day was again a day for me to mostly work my travel business, but I did go down to the the port shopping area and found a great little shop that carried our favorite brand of t-shirts and they had my husband’s size. So I got us each two new St. Kitts T-shirts and called it a day.
Two of the most popular activities in St. Kitts are the scenic train ride or a visit to Carambola Beach Club. We visited the Beach club in Sept of 2021 on our Seabourn cruise.
The real highlight of the day was the unique circumstance of having three Celebrity Ships all in port at the same time each representing the three classes of Celebrity ships. The Apex represented the Edge Class, the Constellation represented the Millennium Class and our Equinox represented the Solstice Class.
Our captain let us know that this was his last voyage as Master of the Equinox (he will take command of the Celebrity Edge in a couple weeks), and that the captain of the Constellation was like a brother to him, and that the Captain of the Apex was his actual brother. This meant that they were all going to be giving us a joyous horn blowing send off when we sailed away that evening. My husband named it “hornigans” like shenanigans but with horns.
Our captain did a 540 degree turn (or doughnuts in the water as he referred to it) in the water before we headed out to the ocean. A truly amazing experience.
