We needed to spend one night in Munich as the only flights that worked for our connections went through London and were early morning flights. We took the ship’s transfer from Austria, to Munich, about a 2 hour drive. The transfer company dropped us right off at the airport where we had planned ahead to stay right at the Airport Hilton hotel. That worked our really well as we just made our way through the airport to the hotel, had lunch and got checked in.

It was an early rise the next morning to catch our 7:15 flight, but by being already at the airport, it was just a walk through a couple of terminals. We had originally booked a 10:30 flight with a shorter connection in London, but like every travel arrangement made during these Covid times, that flight was cancelled and we were put on the 7:15 am flight.

Flights home were uneventful other than us having a 6 hour layover in the London airport. My one advise is to book more convenient flight times when things are back to normal.
