This was also my 4th time to visit Juneau, so we did a little bit of the old and a little bit of the new. In 2008, my son and I visited the old Alaska State Museum. When we came in 2015, the museum was under renovation. What a renovation they did. My mom and I spent most of our time checking out the exhibits. I recognized some of them as redesigns from the old museum, and some as brand new exhibits. We were also treated to a concert by a military band.

I actually had to head back quickly to the ship to help coordinate our excursion for the next day. Our group was to go on the train in Skagway, but there was a landslide that covered part of the tracks, so I had to work with the Princess shore excursion department to coordinate a replacement tour for us and contact everyone so that they could rebook it. We also didn’t want to miss the Iditarod Presentation by Libby Riddles, a nice touch exclusively on Princess.
