The Edge Ships have some of the most beautiful pool and deck spaces in the business. That being said I usually don’t get to enjoy them on a cruise. First, because I am usually working in my cabin and second, I just don’t do much sun. However, for people who love to bask in the fresh air and sunshine, there is not prettier place at sea. For folks in the suites, they have their own dedicated Retreat Sundeck and plunge pool.
Other outdoor spaces include the walking track, which is over two levels, so you get a bit of an elevation changes while doing laps, the roof-top terrace and the Roof Top garden. The cantilevered Magic Carpet platform spends most of its time as and extension of the pool deck, a bar with great ocean views. The aft Sunset Bar on this ship is very small and we missed the expansiveness of the Sunset Bar that we experienced previously on the Beyond. Hopefully, they will expand the area to be similar to the Beyond at some point when the ship visits dry dock.
