One of the most remarkable aspects of the island of Antigua is that there are 365 beaches on the island, one for every day. I first visited Antigua in 1980 when I was just 13 years old. It would be nearly 38 years before I returned again in Jan of 2018 on an Extended Caribbean cruise. My favorite place to visit is Shirley Heights. This picturesque view point is where the most iconic pictures of this island are taken. Seabourn offers tours that take in both the history and tropical beauty of the island with tours that take guests to some of the highest peaks via 4X4 vehicles, private drives that take guests to Shirley Heights and historic Nelson’s Dock Yard, and into the water with snorkel and kayak opportunities.

This, once again, was an office day for me, so I was busy running my business, and was not able to get off the ship to enjoy this beautiful island. Pictures are from previous visits or taken just from the ship.
