2021 Caribbean Cruise: Carambola Beach, Saint Kitts and Nevis

Our day at Carambola Beach in St. Kitts and Nevis might be my favorite day of the cruise. This was some what like a private island experience with the tender boats taking us to Carambola Beach Club. Here, we had access to beautiful clear ocean waters and a small snorkeling cove. Beach chairs and umbrellas were all set up for our use at no charge, and the ship brought ashore their marina “toys” including the paddle boards, banana boats and other equipment. The highlight of the day was the Caviar in the Surf when the Captain and Cruise director arrived on zodiacs. The whole crew served champagne to the guests in the surf (with plastic flutes) and then the dining staff served us all a taste of caviar on a toast or cracker. Quite the experience. For lunch time they set up an elaborate buffet of lobster tails, ribs, chicken and more. After lunch, I even tried a go at water skiing. I couldn’t get up so I’ll blame it on the low powered boat, not my lack of athletic activity over he last 40 years since the last time I water skied. This was a wonderful day of surf, sand, food and fun.
