Holland America outdid themselves when they choose this beautiful crescent shaped beach for their private island experience. They have invested in large island tenders and a nice marina so that disembarkation via those tenders rather than the smaller ships tenders is smooth and efficient. Guests can enjoy a walk on the beach, a snorkel boat, a children’s splash pad and playground. An included lunch is served buffet picnic style just steps from the beachfront. There are a wide variety of expensive cabanas for rent, several bars and even a “for charge” grill that serves lobster tails. Horseback Riding is also popular. The beach is about 2 miles long, so I enjoyed my morning exercise and took a hike from one end to the other. If you love a simple, low cost beach day, this is a fantastic port day.
