During our previous visits to George Town, Grand Cayman there were always several large mega-ships in port with us. This meant that the town was bustling with cruise ship tourists. This time, we visited on a Sunday, when most shops in town were closed, and our ship was the only one in port. This made for a quiet day there. My Mom and I wanted to attend Catholic Mass so we headed through town to the Catholic Church on foot. We probably would have been much happier had we taken a cab, but we really didn’t see any, as it was a Sunday morning. It was a lovely little parish and we enjoyed our visit to the church. We were able to share a cab back to town with other folks from our ship.

We decided to enjoy a nice meal at a waterfront cafe, which also gave us access to the coral reef snorkeling area right off shore. Our meal and my snorkel were refreshing. We wrapped up early, which made it easy to get back to the ship before lines started forming for the tender boats.
