MIAMI, August 14, 2007 – Coming to a city near you, the CruiseMatch World Premiere Tour is the event of the year that travel agents would not want to miss. Offering a sneak preview of the newest tool to empower its travel partners, Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises will introduce the industry’s most comprehensive cruise booking and customer servicing solution during a whirlwind tour beginning August 20 in Miami, Fla. Travel agents should log-in at CruisingPower.com to find out when the CruiseMatch World Premiere Tour will be coming to town, and register for the full-day event before tickets run out.
“The new CruiseMatch will be a show-stopper when the curtains are raised this September on CruisingPower.com to unveil the premier booking tool in the industry,” said Lisa Bauer, senior vice president, Sales, Royal Caribbean International. “The robust functionality of the web-based booking engine will give travel agents the ability to service their clients more quickly and efficiently when booking cruises. Some of the new capabilities include price and itinerary comparison, up-sell opportunities, e-quote generation and individual cruisetour reservations.”
An ensemble cast of cruise line executives, automation specialists, and regional training specialists will rally across the country in the CruiseMatch World Premiere Tour bus stopping at 11 cities to roll out the red carpet for local Travel Agents. At each stop, they will reveal the power of CruiseMatch in a hands-on training session and highlight other state-of-the-art eTools on the award-winning CruisingPower.com. The event also includes a brand-immersion session: the ‘Critics Choice’ Trade Show; market-leading Cruisetour presentations; and the opportunity to win some exciting prizes. Upon completion of the CruiseMatch training, travel agents can earn up to six CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) credits towards their ACC or MCC certification.
“Our brands’ new sequel of CruiseMatch will revolutionize the industry, just as CruiseMatch 2000 did in the 90’s,” said Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president, Sales, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises. “This latest innovation will further fortify our goal of providing our travel partners with a variety of ways in which to maximize their business opportunities and profits.”
Cities that the CruiseMatch World Premier Tour bus will visit between August 20 and September 12 are Miami, Tampa, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Bayonne, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Seattle and Toronto. Throughout the nationwide tour, the cast’s cross-country travels and tribulations will be chronicled on CruisingPower.com in a travelogue featuring an interactive map, daily video diaries and slideshows, and first-hand testimonials from attending travel agents.
Travel Agents may still register to attend the complimentary session and events. Simply login at www.CruisingPower.com; at the top of the welcome page, click on the “Working With Us” drop-down menu; and select “Event Management.” Select “Register for an event open to the public” to see a list of open events and to sign up for a CruiseMatch World Premiere session.
After the North American debut of CruiseMatch, the tour will move on to other markets in Europe, South America and Asia, taking the leading agent tool to the rest of the world.
