SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (April 4, 2007) – To celebrate the launch of its two newest cruise ships, Emerald Princess and Royal Princess, which will be christened together over Mother’s Day weekend, Princess Cruises is debuting a new “Mother/Daughter Memories” package. Designed to help a mother and daughter celebrate their time together, the package offers activities they are sure to love, such as shopping, relaxing at the spa, sampling fine wines and creating lasting memories of their cruise vacation together.

Available on Emerald Princess beginning May 5, 2007, the “Mother/Daughter Memories” package can be enjoyed any time of year, including on Mother’s Day, and features two of each of the following:

  • A custom-designed sterling silver charm bracelet featuring a sterling silver sand dollar charm with an emerald accent, created to commemorate the launch of Emerald Princess
  • “Exotic Hand and Sole Delight Foot Ritual” Lotus Spa manicure and pedicure
  • Half-day pass to The Sanctuary, the ship’s adults-only retreat
  • Reserved seats for a wine tasting event
  • 8″x10″ photos of their choice

The package cost is $495 and can be reserved on board by all mother and daughters 21 years of age and older.

“As we launch our pair of new ships over Mother’s Day weekend, we thought it fitting to offer something special for mothers and daughters who are sharing a special vacation experience on board,” said Jan Swartz, Princess’ senior vice president.”

Mothers and daughters can enjoy the best of Mediterranean and Greek Isles on Emerald Princess as she sails to the region’s most alluring and historic destinations. The 113,000-ton Emerald Princess will be the line’s first ship to begin cruising from Rome’s seaport, the town of Civitavecchia. Emerald Princess’ first cruise, a 12-day Greek Isles itinerary, is scheduled to set sail April 11 on a 12-day, 11-port voyage to Venice.

Emerald Princess will include the many new design innovations introduced aboard Crown Princess including a dramatic piazza-style atrium, a wide array of casual dining venues, and an adults-only retreat called The Sanctuary.

Princess Cruises will reunite a pair of television’s favorite mothers and daughters to christen Emerald Princess and Royal Princess over Mother’s Day weekend in Santorini, Greece. Television icons Florence Henderson, best known as “Carol Brady” on The Brady Bunch, and Marion Ross, aka “Marion Cunningham” of Happy Days fame will christen the larger Emerald Princess, while their TV daughters, Susan Olsen (“Cindy Brady”) and Erin Moran (“Joanie Cunningham”) will christen the more intimate Royal Princess.
