The brochure offers passengers the choice of three itineraries: an 80-night World Cruise on Aurora, a 101-night eastbound Grand Voyage on Oriana and an 84-night South American Odyssey on Artemis.

P&O Cruises commercial director, Nigel Esdale, said:

œThe three world voyages offered each year by P&O Cruises are some of the most exciting and imaginative itineraries available. We strive continuously to improve the quality and originality of our world voyages, whether this means adding new ports, increasing the amount of time spent in favourite destinations, or simply making the whole experience more flexible for our passengers.

Auroras itinerary is a classic full circumnavigation of the globe. Departing in January 2008, Aurora visits 26 ports sailing via the Caribbean, USA, South Pacific, Australasia and the Orient, also transiting the Panama and Suez Canals before returning to the UK. Prices start from £7,726.

Also departing in January 2008, Orianas eastbound Grand Voyage is the longest itinerary with 40 ports of call including nine in Australia. Placing great emphasis on Asia, Oriana features new ports of Kemaman and Langkawi in Malaysia, along with other calls in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, China and Taiwan. The voyage also features new port Reunion in the Indian Ocean, classic favourites in South Africa and Dubai. Prices start from £9,046.

Departing in December 2007, Artemis South American Odyssey encapsulates the history and culture of South America. Ports of call include Santarem, Manaus and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Buenos Aires and Puerto Madryn in Argentina, Montevido in Uruguay, Santiago and Coquimbo in Chile, Lima in Peru and Manta in Ecuador.

The itinerary also features two ˜cruise by destinations new to P&O Cruises: Amalia Glacier and PIO X Glacier in Chile. Also on the itinerary are new ports Roatan in Honduras and Belize; and two-day stopovers in Manaus in Brazil, Buenos Aires in Argentina and Lima in Peru “ giving travellers more time to explore these diverse destinations.

Another highlight of the voyage is the Antarctica experience. Over a three-day period Artemis cruises by three of the Antarctics most intriguing islands and bays “ Half Moon Island with resident chinstrap penguins and whales; Hope Bay in the Antarctic Sound which is often referred to as Iceberg Alley, and Deception Island in the South Shetland Islands off the Antarctic Peninsula with volcanic slopes, steaming beaches and ash-layered glaciers. Prices for the full voyage start from £8,128.

New to the 2007/08 World Voyages brochure is the 100-night ËœWorld Connection holidays.

œCombining two itineraries, the P&O Cruises World Connection voyages enable our passengers to tailor-make their perfect world voyage. They can also experience the charms of two of our superliners; the cosmopolitan Aurora and the refined elegance of Oriana continued Esdale.

Cruising out of Southampton on Aurora passengers sail with her via the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico, the USA, Pacific Islands and New Zealand before disembarking in either Sydney or Brisbane. They then have up to three weeks to travel independently in Australia before joining Oriana in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth to sail back to Southampton via the Orient, Indian Ocean, Africa and the Atlantic Isles. Prices start from £7,264 based on Southampton/Sydney on Aurora and Perth/Southampton on Oriana.

Shorter line voyages to and from Australia and New Zealand on Aurora and Oriana are also available. Ranging from 35 to 63 nights in duration, these itineraries are ideal for people with less time to spare or who want to visit a specific part of the world. Prices start from £3,849 for a 35-night Southampton to Auckland itinerary on Aurora and £4,113 for a 40-night Perth to Southampton voyage on Oriana. Flights to/from the UK are included.

To complete these voyages, pre and post cruise city stays can be arranged in some of the most popular Australasian ports, including Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. Prices are from £109 for a one night pre-cruise stay in Sydney and £249 for a three-night post-cruise stay in Auckland.
