Miami – Mar 2, 2010 — Norwegian Sun departed Buenos Aires on Sunday, Feb 28, 2010 as scheduled on a 14-day Chilean Fjords/Strait of Magellan cruise. The ship will make her first port of call in Punta Arenas, Chile on Monday, March 8, 2010. We have been in touch with our port agent and ground handlers in Punta Arenas and they have advised that this area is fully operational.
Norwegian Sun will arrive in Valparaiso, Chile where the cruise will end on Sunday March 14, 2010. At that time, we fully expect for the airport in Santiago, Chile to be fully operational and able to handle arriving and departing passengers. Based on the information we have today, our itinerary for the current cruise will continue as scheduled and we expect the next cruise set for March 14, 2010 to sail as scheduled.
We will keep guests updated should anything change.
