We are considering taking the Regent Seven Seas Mariner to Alaska in June. We have not been on a mid-size ship before (700) passengers and were wondering about the safety of the smaller ship and how much rougher the ride may be than one of the large cruise ships. I doubt you'll have any trouble on Regent Seven Seas. There ships are smaller than the mega ships of today, but they are as bigger than the ocean liners of yester years.
