Does anyone know of any cruises geared toward weight loss? Something that would help my focus, without any other pressures of daily life might be just what I need (or does that sound like wishful thinking??) lol.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Niki,

I don’t think there is such a thing, but it is possible to eat healthy on a cruise. Celebrity is introducing a new ship with spa level level rooms and an exclusive alternative dining room that will specialize in both spa and gourmet cuisine. The ship will be out next year and it is called the Solstice.

Most ships offer plenty of healthful activities like exercise classes (Some times for and additional charge.) dance lessons, morning walks, ect. The spa often have informational classes on weightloss.

But most people choose cruising because of the mostly all inclusive food. They don’t have to worry about how much it will cost to go out to eat every night. Hence the cruise ships like to keep them happy by offering unlimited quantities. That is not exactly an idea environment for someone struggling with weight loss.

Niki - almost all the mid to large size cruise ships have great workout rooms. Head up to the top decks and use the jogging/walking tracks. Plenty of activities to keep you busy. Just stick to three meals a day and you will be fine.

I actually lost 10 pounds on one 11 day cruise because I actually had more time to work out and stay active than at home, yet still plenty of fun and relaxing time.
