Phoning home on a cruise can be very expensive. If you use your cabin phone you will be charge the ship's “Ship to Shore” rate which can be as much as $12 per minute. I would suggest that you call Princess directly and find out exactly what their rates are and which cellular providers work on their ships. I did a quick look on their website and their wasn't much information regarding phone service.
