In case you haven’t had a chance to check out our Gallery pages, I wanted to let you know that we have added our pictures of our Celebrity Equinox cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Caribbean. Here’s a link to the newest Gallery Page.
My blogging ended on the second to last day, but here’s a quick summary of the last days, disembarkation and return home. The last day of the cruise was spend just relaxing and enjoying the ship. As we neared Ft. Lauderdale we entered the super highway of cruise ships and we must have seen at least 10 to 12 other vessels passing us though-out the day and night. Really a beautiful sight.
Packing and disembarkation was much easier than in previous years. We had plenty of extra room in our suitcases so the souvenirs fit right in. I also decided to pack my carry off at the same time I packed my suit cases to be put in the hall. This made sure I had plenty of room in the carry off case, something that had not been the case on several previous cruises.
The last morning we had a quick cup of coffee in the Elite disembarkation staging area and we were off the ship by 8:00, hailed a taxi and were at the Ft. Lauderdale airport by 8:30. Our flight was at 10:30, so we were glad there were no delays. We were tired flying home. I think the flying home is the worst part of a cruise.
We felt that this was overall a very high quality product with many very nice features included in the cruise price including the live bands and entertainment, the food in the main dining room, and a beautiful ship with excellent service and enthusiastic employees.
