Celebrate the Holidays with MSC Cruises’ International Flavor

Newspapers

Guests vacationing with MSC Cruises enjoy a world of holiday celebrations in keeping with this line’s global character.

Throughout the year, the Italian-owned cruise line invites guests to share in the diverse holiday traditions practiced around the world through onboard decorations, music and thematic games and activities. In fact, some 38 holidays and special events – including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Easter – are celebrated annually onboard the ships of the MSC Cruises fleet.

Whenever possible, the line tailors its celebrations to the sailing region and the nationalities of its guests. For example, expect Mardi Gras activities on South American itineraries, Valentine’s Day and Halloween are featured on almost all cruises, and Bastille Day activities for cruises calling in France on July 14 and/or sailings that include many French guests.

This winter, guests can celebrate Christmas and New Year’s onboard MSC Poesia in the Caribbean.

The ship’s 7-night “Happy Holidays, Caribbean-Style” Eastern Caribbean itinerary departs Fort Lauderdale Dec. 20 and calls at San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. John’s, Antigua; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and Nassau, Bahamas, before returning to Florida. The ship will be decorated with Christmas trees and seasonal music will fill the public areas. Guests will spend Christmas at sea with a special Midnight Mass, gifts for children, Christmas quizzes and games and plenty of entertainment, as well as a gala Christmas dinner. Cruise-only rates begin at $699.

Guests will be able to count down to 2010 onboard MSC Poesia’s 7-night “Caribbean & Confetti New Year’s” Western Caribbean itinerary that departs Dec. 27 and calls at Playa del Carmen, Mexico; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Nassau, Bahamas. Ring in the New Year at sea under the stars and enjoy a special New Year’s dinner. Cruise-only rates begin at $899.
