Carnival Celebration Forced To Alter Itinerary

Newspapers

On Tuesday one of the Celebrations propellers touched the sea bottom while docking in Nassau. The Celebration is now en route to her homeport of Jacksonville. Our technical team is working on the problem, but repairs will not be completed prior to the next cruise, which is scheduled to depart from Jacksonville on Thursday.

All other systems and hotel services aboard Celebration are operating normally.

Due to the reduced cruising speed, Carnival has been forced to cancel the scheduled call in Freeport. Carnival will now offer a visit to Nassau on Saturday from 7:30 AM until 6:30 PM.

Carnival will provide guests that sail on this new cruise with a $100 per person credit to their onboard Sail & Sign account. In addition, guests that sail will receive a 20% discount off a future 3 to 7 day Carnival cruise (excluding Alaska, Christmas and New Years) departing prior to December 13, 2007. This discount applies to the cruise fare only. Shore excursions pre-purchased for Freeport will be automatically refunded to your Sail & Sign account.
