4 Passengers Injured in Cruise Ship Gangway Collapse

Palma, Majorca, Spain Friday March 6th

In a frightening incident, a high winds ripped the MSC Fantasia from its moorings while docked in Palma, Majorca, Spain. Four passengers were on gangway when it tumbles into the ocean between the dock and the ship. The passengers were all able to escape the cold waters, three with minor injuries and hypothermia, the fourth with head injuries and hypothermia. Video of the incident has been posted on YouTube.

  2. Sebastian, yes!! Thank goodness they did not drown. I saw the video and it was very frightening. I might proceed across my next gangway with extreme caution in high winds.
