Most of us have seen the news reports about the tragic incident of a woman falling from the Norwegian Dawn on Sunday night. معظمنا قد رأى التقارير الاخباريه عن الحادث المأساوي للمرأة التي تقع النرويجيه من فجر يوم الاحد ليلا. Initially there was some speculation that foul play might have been involved, but NCL reports that they have surveillance video showing that the woman was alone at the time of the incident. في البداية كان هناك بعض التكهنات ان تقوم به خطأ قد تورطوا ، ولكن التقارير التى تفيد بان NCL مراقبة الفيديو التي تبين ان المراه كانت وحدها في وقت وقوع الحادث. The FBI is currently investigating the incident by reviewing the video and interviewing passengers. مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالى حاليا بالتحقيق فى الحادث من خلال استعراض الفيديو واجراء مقابلات مع الركاب. According to early reports, the New Jersey woman was attempting to climb from one balcony to another at the time she fell. ووفقا لتقارير في وقت مبكر ، ولاية نيو جيرسي امرأة كانت تحاول تسلق احد من شرفة الى اخرى في ذلك الوقت وقالت انها سقطت.

As a cruise lover, I wanted to provide our Cruise Talk readers with a few thoughts on the incident. كما رحلة بحرية حبيب ، اردت ان نقدم للقراء لاستقبال السفن السياحيه الحديث مع بعض الافكار بشأن هذا الحادث. First, my sincere condolences go out to the family. اولا ، خالص تعازينا الى الاسرة. It is very sad to think that a loved one will not return home from a dream vacation. ومن المحزن للغاية ان يفكر في ان احد الاحبه لن يعود الى الوطن من حلم العطله. Hopefully, no matter what the outcome of the investigation may be, publicity from this tragedy will serve as a strong warning to future cruisers to take safety on a cruise ship very seriously. ونأمل ، مهما كانت نتائج التحقيق قد يكون ، من الدعايه لهذه الماساه ستكون بمثابة تحذير قوي الى محطة استقبال السفن السياحيه في المستقبل على اتخاذ السلامة على متن السفن السياحيه على محمل الجد. Balconies are a wonderful amenity, but passengers should never attempt to climb on railings or even balcony furniture. الشرفات هي ميزة راءعه ، ولكن لا ينبغي أبدا ركاب محاولة لتسلق السور على الشرفه او حتى الاثاث. A rule of thumb should be that while on a balcony, one should always have his or her feet planted firmly on the deck. قاعدة الابهام انه في حين ينبغي ان يكون على الشرفه ، ينبغي للمرء ان يكون له دائما او زرعت قدميها بثبات على سطح السفينة. Also, passengers should never engage in any kind of “horse play” while on a balcony. أيضا ، لا ينبغي ابدا ركاب الدخول في اي نوع من انواع "حصان مسرحيه" في حين ان على الشرفه. There were reports, in another incident, that a young lady who fell off a cruise ship last summer and was rescued, was trying to leap frog, piggy back onto a young man that was standing at the rail. ووردت أنباء ، وفي حادث آخر ، ان سيدة وشاب من سقط من ا لسفن الرحلات في الصيف الماضي وكان يتم انقاذهم ، كان يحاول ان يقفز الضفدع ، ظهر خنزير على ان شاب كان يقف عند خطوط السكك الحديديه. She overshot her target and went into the water. وقالت انها هي المستهدفة ذهب الى ما وراء الهدف ووصلت الى المياه. The railings are at a safe height as long as passengers don’t climb on them or “horse around” on the balconies. في السور هي في ذروه آمنة ما دامت لا الركاب في الصعود عليها او "حصان حول" على الشرفات.

Second, I want to acknowledge that the security measures that NCL had in place provided important evidence to the FBI investigators. وثانيا ، اريد ان نعترف بأن الاجراءات الامنية التي NCL في مكان قد قدمت ادلة هامة لمكتب التحقيقات الاتحادي المحققين. After the well publicized disappearance of honeymooner George Smith on a Royal Caribbean Mediterranean cruise, cruise lines began to improve their surveillance capabilities in order to be able to better investigate these kinds of incidents. جيد بعد اختفاء جورج سميث العريس على الملكيه الكاريبي رحلة بحرية البحر الابيض المتوسط ، بدأت خطوط السفن السياحيه من اجل تحسين قدرات المراقبة من اجل ان تكون قادرة على تحقيق أفضل هذه الانواع من الحوادث. NCL had security cameras in place that apparently provided a clear time line of the event. NCL قد كاميرات الامن في مكان ما يبدو ان تقدم واضح الاطار الزمني للحدث. They have not released the video to the public, but they have released the sequence of events as they unfolded. لم تكن قد اطلقت سراح فيديو لعامة الناس ، ولكنها افرجت عن تسلسل الاحداث كما تكشفت.

7:28 PM. 7:28 بعد الظهر. The woman and her boyfriend return to their cabin after dining at the ship’s Garden Cafe with their traveling companions. المراه وصديق لها في العودة الى ديارهم المقصوره بعد تناول الطعام في حديقة مقهى السفينة مع سفرهم منها.

7:36 PM. 7:36 بعد الظهر. Her boyfriend left the cabin and went to join the other couple in their cabin next door. صديق غادرت بلدها وذهبت المقصوره على الانضمام الى الدول الاخرى للزوجين في المقصوره المجاور له. From that moment on, the woman is alone in her cabin. واعتبارا من تلك اللحظة ، وهذه المراه هي وحدها لها في المقصوره.

7:53 PM. 7:53 بعد الظهر. Surveillance cameras from the exterior of the ship capture the woman falling overboard from her balcony, straight into the water. كاميرات المراقبة من الخارج من الاستيلاء على السفينة المراه هي التي تقع خارج السفينة من الشرفه ، مباشرة الى المياه. Shortly thereafter, an emergency call was made from the friend’s stateroom and her boyfriend is seen exiting to seek help. بعد ذلك بوقت قصير ، في حالات الطوارئ وجرى توجيه نداء من صديقك قاعة المناسبات ويعتبر صديق لها ان تخرج لطلب المساعدة.

7:57 PM. 7:57 بعد الظهر. A man overboard announcement is made and the ship’s crew began lifesaving operations, including the launch of two rescue boats. رجل خارج السفينة اعتماد اعلان وطاقم السفينة وبدات عمليات انقاذ ، بما في ذلك بدء اثنين من قوارب الانقاذ.

NCL has offered to fly the woman’s family down to Bermuda to collect her belongings and view the video tape of the incident.
