I was a ships carpenter from the early days 1965/66 my boss was Donny Bell and the top man was John Rannie-at Clydebank when she was just a rusty hull being built into a wonderfull ship,I was with QE2 on her trails and New Year voyage from Glasgow to Las Palmas when her tubines broke down , we had to limp home on one turbine to Southampton.
