You must mean when we were looking for the note we left for ourselves in November that was still taped under the drawer when we got there in June. We were suprised that it was still there but we tried to put it in a place where no one would ever look by accident.

There were so many wonderful folks working on the Mercury when we took both cruises. But we were quite surprised that so many of the faces had actually changed from November to June.

A few stand outs were:

Shiva the sommelier from India
Francisco our waiter from Goa, India
Raissa from the Philippines as a bar waiter and Cova Cafe waiter.
Andrew from Poland our Assistant Mairtre'de
The band Headliners from Philippines. (They were great!!!)

We just watched the unedited video from the Alaska cruise today. It brought back so many memories. Now I have to tackle the project of cutting down the 4 1/2 hours of video to about 1 or 1 1/2 hours and put it on DVD. It will be easy once I eliminate all the video that the kids took and the times we left the camera on unattended.

We loved the Mercury and I know you will have a great cruise.

greetings Arizona and Family.
thank you every much for your quick response.
i have looked at the photos, and was wondering what you where doing down there on the floor. Its all clear know. i am pleased to hear you had a good trip. and the information about the vibration as helped me a lot.

you are correct, only trying it ourselves will confirm one way or the other, and after our trip i shall write again to you, with our opinion.

since it has not been so long since you came back, there maybe some staff names i could look up and give your greetings too.

once again thank you for your help.

Greetings and Bon Voyage,

Are you going on one of the Aus/NZ voyages? If so, I know it will be a fantastic voyage. As far as waking you up... well, it might wake you up, but it won't knock you out of bed. As a matter of fact, the vibration never woke our kids, just us... but you know how heavy kids can sleep some times.

We personally feel that for the extra size of the room and the great balcony, it is a good trade off, but you really will have to determine that for yourself. You do feel the vibrations of the thrusters to some extent on all rooms of the ship. We were in a Ocean Veiw towards midship on the Mercury 4 years ago, and I was awoken by the movement even in that location.

Our Alaska trip was fantastic, but we felt 7 days was just too short. I have reviews and pictures posted here on Cruise Talk. So take a look and let me know if you have any questions.
