Which to choose Infinity or Seven seas mariner to Alaska?
thanks rhea
Rhea,
There are a couple of things to consider. If you are looking to spend less money, then the less expensive cabins on the Infinity would be a better deal.
When you are considering a suite, then the price of a Regent cruise is not that much more than a Celebrity cruise, and it includes all your tips, alcohol, and extras except shore excursion.
Regent determines their number of formal nights on and Itinerary by Itinerary basis, and I believe that the Alaska Sailings do not include any formal nights, but it is possible that this has changed. I would suggest that you look carefully at the web-sites itinerary information, as I think that is where the dress code information is included.
Regent ships are smaller, and more intimate. Infinity is a bit larger, but by no means a mega ship like the Royal Carri bean Voyager or Freedom class. Both Regent and Celebrity are know for their great service, with Regent being “the next step up.” I have not yet tried Regent, but have heard wonderful things about Regent. The only negative that I have ever heard about them, and this is not consistent, just a comment from a few, was that the passengers are a bit more stuffy than on other lines.
Do you have any specific criteria for which you are looking on your Alaska cruise?
