Ryndam Stuck Off Of Tampa
Port of Tampa, Florida - The U.S. Coast Guard says a Holland America cruise ship remains stuck in Tampa Bay due to electrical problems.
The Ryndam left the Port of Tampa around 7:00 p.m. and reported engine problems an hour later. Emergency generators are now running and crew and passengers should not be experiencing any on board problems.
The ship remains anchored between the Port and the Skyway Bridge.
The Coast Guard says 12 of 20 pistons are working. When all pistons are on-line, inspectors will board the ship and see if is able to head into open waters.
The Coast Guard has not said when they think the Ryndam will be on its way.
